Expo 2015

July 2015

21 million people visited the Universal Exhibition in Milan, we did too!

With 140 participating countries showing the best of their technology that offers a concrete answer to a vital need: being able to guarantee healthy, safe and sufficient food for everyone, while respecting the Planet and its equilibrium. It was an opportunity to find out about, and taste, the world’s best dishes, while discovering the best of the gastronomic traditions of each of the exhibitor countries.

Highlights for us were lunch in Japan, coffee in Ecuador and especially fruit juices in Brazil (perhaps because it was 38 degrees outside!).  Architectural highlights were definitely the Great Britain pavilion and the UAE pavilion design by Foster and Partners, but the most surprising were Austria and Bahrein.
